Things I found interesting…

On top of my list today would have to be this encrypted message California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s embedded in his letter of vetoing a bill presented to him on his desk. Take a look at this CNN report.

Pretty much the letter on the left side of the body had the first letter in each line that when spelled out dropped the “F-bomb”.  He claims that its just a strange coincidence, must be one hell of a coincidence.  But you know what, whatever gets the message across.  Arnold has been known for his unique leadership while governor of California and this just continues his style.  I think its funny that this ended up this way maybe Jeff Dunham was right.  In one stand-up routine with the “Superhero” Melvin, he mentioned that the President should be more stern with his messages.  “We’ve dropped the H-bomb, the A-bomb, now its time to drop the F-bomb!  Hey terrorists… F you!”   Great times.

In this CNN blog, I found it interesting that someone pays attention enough to commercials to write a blog about.  But yet I’m writing a blog about this?  Hmmm.  Anyway, the author thought that maybe DirecTV went over the line in its most recent commercial featuring a scene from Chris Farley and David Spade’s movie “Black Sheep”.  I actually caught this commercial the other day and I thought it was a great commercial.  I’ve loved these commercials despite being a DishNetwork customer.  These commercials are creative and unique, I don’t think they really sell the product right but most people enjoy them.  The author of the blog, “was kind of creeped out” by the commercial.  I dunno I think he needs to come to Roanoke and see these “Captain Party” commercials our station has aired in the past, now those are creepy.

Now on to this CNN blog,  what can I say I like CNN.com.  This blogger talks about Hulu’s recent plan to turn from a free Internet TV service to a subscription-fee based service.  This is what every Internet sensation ends up doing.  They have a decent idea to start with and once they become the hot ticket they rip away what they’ve been offering for free for quite sometime to make a quick buck.  There were no reports that Hulu was loosing money on their current service, which uses commercials in the shows that viewers see, but I doubt they have lost a dime.   Hulu needs to realize the free aspect of their service is what brings their viewers to their site.  If and when they institute this fee, another site will turn around and offer what they did and their viewership will see a shift.  Even the syndication might change knowing that people would rather watch for free.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading my small takes on these things I found on the Internet.  Maybe I’ll make this a regular posting when I find enough things to find interesting.
